Job summary

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) invites applications for a fixed-term Change Manager to support Site Transformation and Rationalisation. This is a full-time role with flexible/hybrid working.

Salary is £35,663 with Civil Service pension benefits and 25 days leave plus public holidays. You will create change plans, engage staff, work with HR and other functions, and coach managers to lead change while delivering benefits aligned with DVSA priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and implementing change initiatives, applying change management principles to deliver successful outcomes across projects and business areas.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience gaining buy-in, developing internal communications, and managing resistance to change.
• Ability to support organisational transformation, helping teams adapt to change, delivering benefits, and contributing to projects that impact multiple business functions while aligning with DVSA's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a change plan.
• Regular face to face engagement with staff impacted by the change.
• Work in partnership with key stakeholders to identify issues that need to be addressed to ensure successful delivery of change.
• Coach managers to lead and manage the change agenda by improving the people capabilities of their teams.
• Identify any resistant to change and people related business issues and propose solutions to deliver the cultural changes.
• Maintain the development and engagement strategy with the employees affected by the change.
• Key stakeholder engagement with HR, Health and Safety and TUS representatives to deliver optimum solutions for the staff impacted by the change.
• Work in collaboration with other managers across all functions for the good of DVSA and to create a high performing and well-respected Agency.

Salary: £35,663 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%

Contract Type: Fixed Term (24 months with possibility of permanency) – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time

Join the Site Transformation and Rationalisation team and play a key role in delivering successful business change across DVSA. Working with managers, colleagues, and stakeholders, you’ll help introduce new ways of working that improve business outcomes and support organisational priorities. You’ll provide guidance throughout the change journey, ensuring changes are effectively implemented, adopted, and embedded. This is an exciting opportunity to influence transformation, build strong relationships, and help deliver the successful transition of change initiatives arising from spending review commitments.
