Job summary

AbsoluteLabs is seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Business Central developer to design, build and maintain AL extensions, integrate external systems, and contribute to upgrades and performance tuning.

You will collaborate with delivery and application managers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, participate in planning, and provide Level 3 support for BC implementations in a hybrid London-based role.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of software development experience.
• Degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central extensions.
• Experience building API integrations and upgrades.
• Performance optimisation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain AL extensions for Business Central.
• Customize standard BC functionality to meet business needs.
• Build and maintain API integrations with external systems.
• Work on upgrades and performance optimisation.
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with Delivery and Application Managers to plan and deliver milestones.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with consultants.
• Participate in design discussions, estimations, and sprint planning.
• Support UAT cycles and troubleshoot defects efficiently.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for BC implementations.
• Debug and resolve production issues with the support team.
• Analyse recurring issues and propose long-term improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization

• Work closely with Delivery Managers and Application Managers to prioritise tasks and deliver on project milestones.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, estimations, and sprint planning.
• Support UAT cycles, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects efficiently.

Support & Maintenance

• Provide Level 3 technical support for BC implementations.
• Debug and resolve production issues in collaboration with the support team.
