Business Assurance Analyst – Birmingham – Competitive salary and benefits

BT are looking for a Business Assurance Analyst where we’ll empower you, to empower our business units. As a Business Assurance Analyst you will support the input into and execution of the GBA strategy for the ongoing assurance of products and contracts within your CFU. You will also support and enable Risk mitigation and reduction in financial impact.

What will the role involve as our Business Assurance Analyst?

1. Accountable for business engagement across a wide range of operational CFU stakeholders.
2. Has detailed understanding of one or more key product/contract areas and uses business assurance knowledge to carry out/support 2nd line control coverage assessments, product end-to-end assessments and risk and control reviews.
3. Uses understanding of the audit of processes and systems along with commercial insight to define and recommend new or amend appropriate coverage and controls, and ensure they are executed.
4. Carries out root cause analysis and root cause management at CFU level (working with Control Operations and Recovery).
5. May be required to support Specialists in management of third party suppliers and interaction with auditors and regulatory authorities.

What are we looking for in our Business Assurance Analyst?

You may have a variety of the below:

1. Significant Telco Experience in Assurance roles
2. Business Assurance Knowledge – strong grounding in business / revenue assurance concepts and methodology
3. Product & Business Knowledge – have subject matter expertise and knowledge of a range of BT processes, systems and product offerings
4. Data Discovery & Analysis – Expert in analytical data analysis and problem solving, and data reconciliation experience. Knowledge in PL SQL and Microsoft tools
