Job summary

A leading technology consultancy based in Stevenage is looking for a Business Architect to join their innovative IT & Digital Centre of Excellence. In this role, you will lead business analysis using Pega's frameworks and work closely with Scrum teams to ensure alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a Pega environment, strong stakeholder management skills, and be proficient in business process modelling. This is a full-time position in a hybrid work environment.

Role

We are seeking a Pega Business Architect who will play a vital role in one of our three key Scrum teams, driving business analysis, process optimisation, and strategic implementation of Pega BPM (Business Process Management) and Case Management capabilities. The ideal candidate will act as a crucial link between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that Pega solutions align with business goals, enterprise strategy, and Agile delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the business analysis and optimisation of processes using Pega’s Business Architecture framework.
  • Define and map business capabilities, workflows, and case management processes within Pega.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users and Pega development teams to ensure clarity and feasibility of requirements.
  • Play an integral role in one of three key Scrum teams, driving Agile processes, backlog prioritisation, and sprint planning.
  • Translate business requirements into Pega application designs, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Work with stakeholders to define decision strategies, automation rules, and workflow improvements.
  • Conduct business impact assessments and recommend Pega solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Define best practices, design standards, and governance for Pega implementations.
  • Ensure Pega applications comply with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Pega System Architects, integration teams, and cloud engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Provide guidance on data models, UI/UX design, and integration strategies within Pega.
Required experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience working in a Pega environment as a Business Architect or Business Analyst, with relevant certifications.
  • Strong experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks and Scrum team environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in business process modelling (BPMN) and workflow automation.
