Job summary

Babcock is offering a 10-12 week Business and Project Operations Undergraduate Summer Internship at the Rosyth site in Scotland. Based in our teams, you'll support delivery of defence programmes and gain exposure to planning, scheduling and data-led reporting.

You'll work with experienced professionals on the Type 31 Frigate, Missile Tubes Assembly, and UK Submarine Dismantling programmes, developing practical skills for a career in engineering, business and operations.

What you'll be doing

This 10-12-week Business and Project Operations Undergraduate Summer Internship is designed for ambitious students looking to develop into the next generation of defence industry professionals. Based at our Rosyth site, you'll work alongside experienced teams supporting complex programmes that help deliver critical defence capabilities.

You'll gain experience across a range of business, project and operational activities, with opportunities to support major programmes such as the Type 31 Frigate Programme, Missile Tubes Assembly Programme and the UK Submarine Dismantling Programme. You'll contribute to the build, maintenance and transformation of advanced naval platforms, while learning how major defence programmes are planned, managed and delivered.

By the end of the programme, you'll have developed knowledge and skills in:

What you'll need

• To be a third- or fourth-year university student studying Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Project Management, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
