Job summary

Babcock International at Rosyth is offering a 10- to 12-week Business and Project Operations Undergraduate Summer Internship. You will work with experienced teams on complex defence programmes, gaining exposure to planning, reporting and production operations.

Open to third- or fourth-year students in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, PM, Business or Law. There are security clearance considerations, and successful interns may be considered for future graduate opportunities.

Qualifications

• Security clearance restrictions apply; BPSS and SC clearance may be required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support business, project and operational activities within defence programmes.
• Contribute to major programmes such as Type 31 Frigate Programme, Missile Tubes Assembly Programme and UK Submarine Dismantling Programme.
• Assist in data-led reporting and decision making to support programme delivery.

What you'll be doing

This 10-12-week Business and Project Operations Undergraduate Summer Internship is designed for ambitious students looking to develop into the next generation of defence industry professionals. Based at our Rosyth site, you'll work alongside experienced teams supporting complex programmes that help deliver critical defence capabilities.

You'll gain experience across a range of business, project and operational activities, with opportunities to support major programmes such as the Type 31 Frigate Programme, Missile Tubes Assembly Programme and the UK Submarine Dismantling Programme. You'll contribute to the build, maintenance and transformation of advanced naval platforms, while learning how major defence programmes are planned, managed and delivered.

By the end of the programme, you'll have developed knowledge and skills in:

What you'll need

• To be a third- or fourth-year university student studying Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Project Management, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
