Our team is made up of skilled machinists, toolmakers, measurement specialists, joiners, welders, and electricians whose expertise is essential for supporting our production build.
We use a range of specialist machines and are continually working with the latest technology to improve our processes. We support all aircraft variants on-site, and a key part of our role involves networking with customers and managing stakeholder relationships.
We are looking for a confident individual with excellent people skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn about the Airbus philosophy.
You will delve into the Tooling and Metrology world within Airbus, using your skills to collaborate with teams and drive change and improvement. Your role will place you at the heart of Wing Jig Recertification, Wing Metrology Measurements, and critical aircraft machining tasks. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of all Airbus variants due to our diverse operations. You will interact with various individuals both within the team and across the plant, managing projects related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, Continuous Improvement, and Strategy.
During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include:
Your ideas and support will also play a valuable part in defining our long term strategy, including the introduction of new technologies. Working with different areas of the business will help you to develop presentation, networking and stakeholder management skills that will be required and will be valuable in future career opportunities.
You will also learn about Airbus Operating Systems and Lean principles which will be at the forefront of all projects to ensure the best possible outcomes can be achieved.
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
