Job Description

Exciting opportunities have become available within the Business and Customer Support Team. This team plays a vital role in ensuring the council delivers high-quality services to our customers in line with current legislation and policy.

Angus Council offers a variety of workstyle arrangements:

  1. 2a - Fixed (Desk ratio 1:1): In this workstyle, you will have a guaranteed fixed desk, for example, for equality act (formerly DDA), H&S, or technical reasons.
  2. 2b - Fixed (Desk Ratio 8:10): Work is regularly undertaken at a fixed point within council premises. There is no requirement for out-of-office working. You will have a guaranteed shared desk and work where the service is needed to meet customer demands.
  3. 3 - Flexi (Desk Ratio 5:10): Work is carried out at different locations, with employees office desk based for more than 50% of their working time. Additional time may be spent in council buildings for collaborative spaces, meetings, training, and mentoring.
  4. 5 - Homeworking and Other Locations - Flexible (Desk Ratio 2:10): Most work activity (80%) can be carried out at home or another location. Approximately 20% of time may be spent at an office desk, with additional time in council buildings for collaborative work, meetings, training, and mentoring.

Positions are based in the following locations:

  • Bruce House, Wellgate, Arbroath (6 positions): 18.125 hours/week (workstyle 3), 20 hours/week (workstyle 2b, reception), 21.25 hours/week (workstyle 2b, reception), 29 hours/week (workstyle 3), 36.25 hours/week (workstyle 3 and 5)
  • Bellevue House, Springfield Terrace, Arbroath (2 positions): 29 hours/week (workstyle 3), 36.25 hours/week (workstyle 3)
  • County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar (2 positions): 36.25 hours/week (workstyle 3), 18.5 hours/week (workstyle 2a)
  • Montrose Town House, Montrose (1 position): 36.25 hours/week (workstyle 3)
  • Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar (2 positions): 36.25 hours/week (workstyle 5)

Successful applicants will support various council services, including Children, Families, and Justice social work, Welfare Rights, and Supporting Skills teams, helping them deliver essential services to the people and communities of Angus.
