Job Advert: Business and Customer Support Assistant

Location: Arbroath

Contract: Temporary until end of September 2025 (potential extension to end of October)

Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week

Pay: £13.63 per hour



We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Business and Customer Support Assistant to join our clients team in Arbroath, providing high-quality support to the Children and Families Service.



This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a busy and rewarding service area that directly supports children, young people, and their families.



What You’ll Do

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring customers receive prompt, accurate, and compassionate service while supporting the smooth delivery of key business processes. Your work will include:



- Be the first point of contact for customers – by phone, in person, and online.

- Ensure timely, accurate, and friendly responses to customer enquiries.

- Connect customers to the right services and professionals.

- Process requests in line with policies and legislation.

- Format and prepare reports, letters, and mail merges.

- Enter and manage sensitive data across systems securely.

- Maintain and organise digital and physical filing systems.

- Handle orders, invoices, payments, and cash transactions.

- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in billing and recovery.

- Contribute to process improvement and service design.

- Provide data and reports to inform business decisions.

- Support project documentation and communication activities.
