Kent Training & Apprenticeships is seeking a Business and Administration Apprentice in Maidstone. This role promises hands-on training and development in various office tasks, from administration to customer service. Ideal candidates should have GCSE qualifications in English and Maths and a passion for providing high-quality service to residents.

GCSE Level 9-4 (or Grade A-C) in English and Maths. Or equivalent in these subjects.
Cutbush and Corrall Charity was established in 1865 to provide almshouse accommodation. The Charity now has 154 self-contained properties in and around Maidstone. Many of the Charity’s properties are of historic interest.
The Charity provides affordable accommodation for older people who would otherwise find it difficult to meet their housing needs.
The apprentice will be joining a small team that are committed to providing high quality and supportive services to almshouse residents. The post holder will undertake a wide range of activities including:

GCSE Grade 9 - 4 (or A - C) in English and Maths as a minimum. Or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently and as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.
Regular work based assessments/observationscarried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, together with virtual training sessions and action plans, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
Our programme offers a blended curriculum combining engaging online courses with adapted 1:1 support from a dedicated tutor. This tutor collaborates with both apprentices and employers to create a tailored programme designed to support your progression. You'll benefit from at least 6 hours of weekly training or study time during your working hours.
As of 1st April 2025, the NMW for Apprentices is £7.55 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them directly. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
