Business Analyst Lead (Trading) An exciting opportunity to lead functional delivery within a high-performing Trading IT team. As Business Analyst Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of energy trading technology across European markets. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct influence over strategic ETRM delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing a team of approximately 10 Business Analysts across the UK and Europe. Key Responsibilities Lead the functional delivery of ETRM systems, ensuring high-quality, business-aligned outcomes. Line manage and mentor a team of around 10 Business Analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. Own and prioritise the functional backlog, delivering value at pace in an agile environment. Validate cross-vertical changes and assess the impact of major initiatives. Translate business needs into clear, deliverable requirements across Trading, Sales, Middle Office, and Back Office. Oversee user acceptance testing and ensure stakeholder sign-off prior to go-live. Maintain a comprehensive view of systems and processes, supporting the development of robust business cases. Identify risks and dependencies across projects, ensuring continuous progress and alignment. Collaborate with Technical Leads and Solution Architects on roadmaps and delivery plans. What You’ll Bring In-depth understanding of the energy trading industry, particularly Natural Gas and Power (physical and financial). Proven experience as a Business Analyst in ETRM or energy trading environments. Hands-on experience with ETRM systems (OpenLink v18 or v25 highly desirable). Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing Business Analyst teams. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with cloud technologies and agile delivery methodologies. A degree (or equivalent) in a numerate or computing-related discipline.
