Overview of role

Zodiac Maritime has embarked on a significant digital transformation programme, affecting most parts of the business. We seek a Business Analyst with experience in complex change & transformation programmes, especially those involving technical changes.

Based five days a week at our central London office, you will contribute to various projects, from continuous improvement initiatives to new ERP implementations and procurement or contract management systems. The role requires comfort with the entire analysis process, stakeholder engagement, UAT ownership, and Hypercare.

Key responsibilities and primary deliverables

  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements via interviews, workshops, and meetings, and document these accurately.
  • Analyze requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and issues.
  • Create documentation such as BRDs, user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and process diagrams.
  • Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and bridge between stakeholders, project managers, and developers.
  • Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and propose improvements using business process modelling and re-engineering techniques.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights using tools like Excel, SQL, or BI software.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions, system specifications, wireframes, and mock-ups.
  • Assist testing teams in developing test plans, cases, and scripts for UAT.
  • Monitor solution performance and gather user feedback for optimization.
  • Possess a strong technical background and knowledge of various technologies.
  • Have a track record in systems implementation (ERP) or technical change projects.
  • Preferably have experience in shipping, logistics, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to articulate clearly to diverse audiences and build relationships.
  • Influence others and align teams toward shared goals.
  • Be adaptable, resilient, organized, and a problem solver.
  • Work effectively at all organizational levels and collaborate well with others.
  • Have a solid understanding of organizational issues and large-scale transformation experience.
