Business Analyst (Technology Change, Transformation & Continous Improvement)

Zodiac Maritime has embarked on a significant digital transformation programme, impacting most parts of the business. We seek a Business Analyst with proven experience in complex change & transformation projects, especially those involving substantial technical changes.

This role is based five days a week in our central London office. You will contribute to various projects, from continuous improvement initiatives to implementing ERP systems and new procurement or contract management solutions. The role requires comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end analysis process, stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, UAT ownership, and post-implementation support.

Key responsibilities and primary deliverables

  • Engage with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and meetings to gather and accurately document business requirements.
  • Analyze requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential issues.
  • Develop documentation such as BRDs, user stories, functional specs, use cases, and process diagrams.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams, managing expectations effectively.
  • Identify inefficiencies in business processes and propose improvements using process modeling and re-engineering techniques.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends and insights using tools like Excel, SQL, or BI software.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design system specifications, wireframes, and mock-ups that meet business needs.
  • Work with testing teams to develop UAT plans, test cases, and scripts, ensuring solutions meet requirements.
  • Monitor system performance post-implementation and gather user feedback for further optimization.
  • Possess a strong technical background and knowledge of various platforms and technologies.
  • Have a track record of successful ERP or technical change project contributions.
  • Preferably experienced in shipping, logistics, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.
  • Exhibit excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in delivering BA artifacts across multiple complex projects.
  • Skilled in data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Capable of establishing strong relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexible, resilient, organized, and capable of working in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and organizational acumen.
  • A team player with a good understanding of organizational challenges and change management.
  • Experience with large-scale transformation programs is desirable.
