Job description

Key responsibilities:

  1. Creating functional requirements for the development of new regulatory requirements e.g. onto the strategic reporting and surveillance platforms
  2. Creating functional requirements for enhancements and fixes to the strategic reporting and surveillance platforms
  3. Creating functional requirements for migration of the reporting logic currently accommodated by other legacy applications onto the strategic reporting platform
  4. Engaging upstream system owners where changes are required for regulatory reporting purposes
  5. Performing some BAU support tasks related to surveillance/regulatory reporting

Key responsibilities:

  1. Defining the current state, data flows, what rules are in place and how we meet the existing regulations across each asset class
  2. Understanding the future state model which will involve a migration onto our strategic platforms
  3. Interpreting the changes to regulation and detailing the impact on our data flow/tech stack
  4. Documenting the requirements and working with upstream source system providers to ensure they meet their obligations
  5. Work closely with Business Analysts, Operations and Business Change teams in articulating and defining requirements
  6. Working with development teams to ensure requirements are understood
  7. Defining scope of testing, working with testers, validating test results
  8. Support the existing applications, assist in diagnosis and resolutions of issues

Skills / experience required:

  1. 5 years minimum experience of being a business analyst, ideally in the tech space
  2. Ability to write complex functional requirements in both agile and waterfall methodologies
  3. Experience with JSON and XML schemas
  4. Experience of regulatory reporting regimes e.g. CFTC, NFA, SEF and awareness of upcoming changes
  5. Experience or knowledge of any surveillance platforms
  6. Strong attention to detail
  7. Experience with SQL and the ability to query db’s
  8. Experience of data analysis/data mapping and familiarity with data schemas
  9. Knowledge of transaction lifecycle

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience of EMEA regulatory reporting regimes e.g. MiFID, EMIR and awareness of upcoming changes
  2. Experience of working with reference data related to transaction reporting
  3. High level understanding of the IDB market and capital markets in general
  4. Experience with the architecture of third-party reporting services e.g. DTCC
