We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Analyst to join our dynamic team.

This role is crucial in driving key analysis and supporting our QTS (Quality Technology Solutions) team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the performance of our high-growth business through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  2. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Support the QTS team by providing data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and business processes.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and quality issues.
  6. Monitor data quality and partner with data owners to flag and resolve data quality issues.
  7. Create and maintain documentation for data processes and methodologies.
  8. Provide regular performance updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  9. Perform diagnostic and proactive analyses to identify inventory and quality trends, partnering with data scientists for advanced statistical needs.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analytics.
A day in the life

Collaborate with software, BI, and data engineers in an agile scrum team to deliver data-driven solutions for internal quality tools.

Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and backend data logic.

Design and build backend data solutions using SQL and Python for data processing and automation.

Analyze large datasets to generate insights, validate business rules, and support decision-making.

Develop dashboards and reports using QTS BI tools to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Continuously refine data pipelines and logic based on user feedback and evolving requirements.

The Quality Technology & Solutions (QTS) team is an integral part of the EU Quality organization. Although we primarily serve the EU region, our innovative solutions and strategies have a global impact. We are a diverse and dynamic team comprising Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs), Data Analysts, and Process Experts. Our mission is to design and implement state-of-the-art technological solutions that enhance operational efficiency, drive quality assurance, ensure inventory control, and reduce concessions. By leveraging advanced technologies and data-driven methodologies, we aim to deliver impactful solutions that support Amazon's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience creating complex SQL queries joining multiple datasets, ETL DW concepts.
  • Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using Python or R for data analysis or statistical tools such as SAS.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL, Excel.
  • Experience in data mining, data warehouse solutions, and ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of algorithm design and complexity analysis.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and data presentation skills.
