Business Analyst / Project Manager - Risk Technology, London

Millennium is a top-tier global hedge fund committed to leveraging innovations in technology and data science to solve complex business problems. We are building a strong Risk Technology team to develop our next-generation Risk Platform. As a Business Analyst/Project Manager (BAPM) supporting the Risk Tech team, your responsibilities include requirements documentation, project delivery management, and collaboration across all stages of the software development lifecycle.

You will work closely with Portfolio and Risk Managers to understand their needs, synthesize these into development tasks, and translate them into specifications for developers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Engaging with stakeholders across various levels of the organization
  • Documenting business requirements for risk reporting, consolidating multiple reports into common components
  • Creating a Bill of Work (BOW) with technical deliverables based on shared components aligned with user needs, prioritized with risk analysts and developers
  • Ensuring project governance and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
  • Supporting development teams by resolving implementation issues through consultation with risk analysts
  • Defining test strategies and creating test cases to identify issues with changes
  • Assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and change testing
  • Managing communication and coordination for production releases
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Significant experience in business analysis or product development, working with both business users and technologists
  • Experience engaging with Market Risk stakeholders and understanding risk concepts is preferable
  • Ability to analyze risk reports in depth and synthesize common data components, with relevant finance experience
  • Knowledge of SQL and database tools; additional data analysis skills, including coding, are advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Visio or similar flowcharting tools for creating detailed workflows
  • Experience managing projects through the development lifecycle
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an independent work ethic
