Job Description:

Millennium is a top-tier global hedge fund committed to leveraging innovations in technology and data science to solve complex problems. As a Business Analyst/Project Manager supporting the Risk Tech team, you will handle requirements documentation, project delivery management, and collaboration across teams involved in the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with Portfolio and Risk Managers to understand their needs, synthesize them into development tasks, and translate them into specifications for developers.

  • Interface with stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority
  • Develop and document business requirements for risk reporting, including consolidating reports into common components
  • Create a Business Operating Model (BOM) with tech deliverables based on common components, prioritized with risk analysts and developers
  • Enforce project governance and maintain communication with stakeholders
  • Support development teams by resolving implementation issues through consultation with risk analysts
  • Define and prepare test strategies and cases to identify issues with changes
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and testing of updates
  • Coordinate production releases

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Significant experience in business analysis or product development, working with business users and technologists
  • Experience with Market Risk stakeholders and understanding of risk concepts is preferable
  • Ability to analyze risk reports and synthesize data components, leveraging finance experience
  • Knowledge of SQL and database tools; additional data analysis skills are advantageous, including understanding code
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Visio or similar tools for creating workflows
  • Experience managing projects through the development lifecycle
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an independent work ethic
