Job description

Job Title: Business Analyst / Project Manager - Fund Accounting

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract Type: 6 months contract

Rate: £784.04 per via Umbrella company

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead and support the migration and transformation of fund accounting platforms within a global financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting, data migration, and operating model transformation, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the documentation of business requirements, current and target state operating models, and gap analyses.
  • Manage the decoupling of business processes to ensure compliance with client-specific responsibilities and data residency requirements.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of phased migration strategies, including early delivery of decoupled processes to reduce risk.
  • Implement replacement solutions for legacy systems (e.g., fax, voice recording, application access).
  • Act as business lead for final migration phases, managing detailed plans from analysis through to operational readiness and go-live.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Identify and escalate key risks and dependencies to ensure programme success.
  • Support automation and efficiency initiatives across fund accounting operations.
  • Contribute to system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation support.

Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on fund accounting, middle/back office operations, and platform migrations.
  • Proven track record in hybrid Business Analyst and Project Manager roles within global banking or asset servicing environments.
  • Experience with fund accounting platforms such as ICON, Charles River Development (CRD), and Bloomberg AIM.
  • Strong understanding of data migration, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance in cross-border contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholders, and deliver under pressure in complex programme environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Visio, Jira, and Quality Centre.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
  • IAQ (Investment Administration Qualification) or equivalent.
  • Expertise in equities, fixed income, derivatives, corporate actions, pricing, and valuation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with HSBC SSv or similar securities services environments is a strong advantage.
