Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst / Project Manager to support the delivery of cross-functional projects and drive business improvements. This hybrid role combines technical analysis with hands-on project delivery, ensuring initiatives are aligned with business goals and executed efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with the lead project manager, business users, delivery teams, and technology partners to translate business needs into clear requirements and support delivery through the full project lifecycle.

This role requires strong experience in London Market insurance operations, system configuration and integration, particularly PAS and reporting/analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis:

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to gather, analyse, and document business requirements from various stakeholder teams.

Support the definition and implementation of new PAS configurations, acting as the primary liaison between business SMEs and technical delivery teams.

Support implementation of integration from upstream systems into the data warehouse.

Produce and maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and reporting logic.

Assist with traceability of business requirements through development, testing, and delivery phases.

Collaborate on system testing, UAT, and go-live planning, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Contribute to project planning, RAID logs, and issue escalation.

Project Management:

Support delivery of projects across multiple workstreams to agreed time, cost, quality, TCF and compliance objectives.

Develop detailed project plans and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Execute and manage the project plan on a day-to-day basis, monitor progress and take all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate.

Coordinate delivery by cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.

Routinely engage with and communicate with internal and external Senior stakeholders.

Support the senior management decision making process.

Work in accordance with Polo's policies, client and regulatory requirements and operational frameworks.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Strong knowledge of London Market insurance operations and data, including policy, claims, and financial data structures.

Hands-on experience in delivering integrated systems with multiple vendors.

Definition of system configuration requirements and of mapping source system data to target models (e.g. source-to-target specifications).

Proficient in producing clear documentation: process maps, data lineage diagrams, functional specs.

Effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels.

Able to cope with varying workload pressures and to prioritise effectively.

Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Desirable:

Experience with London Market PAS platforms (e.g. OpenTWINS, DXC Assure, Sequel, IRIS).

Knowledge of BI/MI tooling (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).

Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g. SQL, Snowflake, Azure, Informatica, etc.).

Exposure to Agile delivery and use of tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile (Scrum Master, PMI-ACP).

Experience working within an outsourcing environment is desirable.
