Business Analyst | Precious Metals, Energy & Commodities Trading | Up to £800/Day Inside IR35 | 6 months rolling | Hybrid

We are seeking a Business Analyst specializing in Precious Metals / Metals, particularly with experience in Regulatory Reporting projects, for a commodities & energy trading firm. The role focuses on regulatory reporting for a new energy trading desk. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precious metals or metals in general, and be familiar with physical commodities rather than derivatives. As the company grows and new products are onboarded, they require a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to manage project lifecycle activities, including business requirements analysis, functional specification of changes, testing, and UAT support.

The Business Analyst will need to prepare and submit reports in compliance with EMIR, MiFID, MAR, MAS, and Dodd-Frank regulations, analyze trading data using SQL and Indexes, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth desk operations.

This is a 6-month rolling contract

Pay rate: up to £800/Day Inside IR35

Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days per week in Central London

The role provides exposure to the Precious Metals business and offers opportunities to learn about and support the daily trading desk and regulatory managers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and submitting regulatory reports in compliance with EMIR, MiFID, MAR, MAS, and Dodd-Frank regulations.
• Conducting detailed analysis and reporting on metals trading, focusing on physical commodities rather than derivatives.
• Collaborating with traders, compliance officers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
• Analyzing trading data using SQL and Indexes to generate insights and reports supporting trading decisions and compliance.
• Working with stakeholders to set up the new trading desk.
• Developing and implementing processes for efficient desk operations.
