BUSINESS ANALYST - INSURANCE (Financial Crime) Introduction: Wipro is looking for a Business Analyst – Insurance (Financial Crime) with previous experience of working in the Insurance industry on a financial crime project.

As a Business Analyst – Insurance (Financial Crime) you will be a part of the Insurance Practice where we help insurance companies transform the way they do business through digital powered customer experience & analytics/cognition enabled business transformation.

Purpose of the Role: As the successful Business Analyst – Insurance (Financial Crime), you will support our client with their efforts to improve the safeguarding from all financial crime aspects.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Gathering requirements and scope capture
  2. Understanding and mapping of the insurance processes, ways of working, value chain
  3. Collection of data about an organisation’s operations to improve its systems and processes
  4. Process mapping as agreed with the client
  5. Identifying problems and opportunities for change with the current business model
  6. Options development and recommendations to company management
  7. Analysing the potential impact on the business of recommendations and creating business cases
  8. Planning, developing and provision of impact analysis to technology- systems, infrastructure, applications, accelerators in line with customer needs
  9. Providing support and enablement services to the business to help them develop business requirements and design
  10. Acting as a customer proxy for the development team during the development cycle of specific products
  11. Analysing new change needs, change requests, new requirements from third parties and customers/clients
  12. Translating requirements into functional and non-functional (performance) specifications
  13. Developing BRDs – and other business requirements documentation as necessary
  14. Design and detail of user stories
  15. Use development specifications to establish traceability from requirements to test cases
  16. Designing potential solutions to problems and opportunities
  17. Carrying out research and informing the design of the solution
  18. Preparing and delivering report of findings to senior stakeholders and leadership
  19. Managing risks, issues, with end-to-end impact assessment – mitigation
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
  1. Previous experience as a Business Analyst in an Insurance company is preferable or in the financial services industry
  2. Should have worked on a financial crime project in areas such as Anti Money Laundering, Fraud and KYC
  3. Understanding of insurance processes, ways of working, value chain etc would be an added advantage
  4. Excellent written and oral communication
  5. Facilitation skills and able to plan and conduct workshops
  6. Good senior stakeholder management skills
  7. Self-starter, proactive, independently work and be responsible
  8. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban, Jira and confluence
  9. Ability to work in a team but also work independently when required
  10. Ability to quickly understand the Business processes and map them
  11. Excellent presentation skills/visual representations
