Business Analyst, Insurance Capital Solutions

This team was established to create a Bermudian asset-intensive reinsurer named InEvo Re and to set up an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer function to support InEvo. The Capital and Investment Strategies team advises InEvo on pricing, capital efficiency, and structuring of transactions, and develops systems and tools for portfolio management and Asset and Liability Management. This initiative aims to leverage financial and insurance expertise to develop structuring capabilities and expand Macquarie Asset Management's partnerships with insurers and institutional investors, presenting a significant opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the success of this new strategic initiative.

What role will you play?

As a Junior Analyst, you will support the Insurance Capital Solutions team by conducting detailed financial analysis and modelling to aid risk management and investment decision-making processes. You will collaborate with senior analysts and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of investment strategies, assist in managing and monitoring existing investments and partnerships, and prepare investment analytics and reports. Additionally, you will support the due diligence process for potential investments, conduct market research, and establish an industry network to identify trends and opportunities.

What you offer

  • Degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent post-graduate education.
  • Excellent analytical skills for detailed financial analysis and modelling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and coding languages like Python or R.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks.
  • Keen interest in the insurance and/or investment sectors with a transaction/delivery-driven mindset.
