BUSINESS ANALYST - HEALTH INSURANCE (Portal Modernisation)

Introduction: Wipro is looking for a Business Analyst – Health Insurance with previous experience of working in a modernisation / digital transformation programme. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on modernisation of the health insurance portal to support on large scale multi-year transition for Insurance finance.

Purpose of the Role: We are working on Health Modernisation Programme with one of the largest UK insurers and need a Business Analyst to support on large scale multi-year transition Insurance Finance.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Gathering requirements and scope capture
  2. Understanding and mapping of the insurance processes, ways of working, value chain
  3. Collection of data about an organisation’s operations to improve its systems and processes
  4. Process mapping as agreed with the client
  5. Identifying problems and opportunities for change with the current business model
  6. Options development and recommendations to company management
  7. Analysing the potential impact on the business of recommendations and creating business cases
  8. Planning, developing and provision of impact analysis to technology- systems, infrastructure, applications, accelerators in line with customer needs
  9. Providing support and enablement services to the business to help them develop business requirements and design
  10. Acting as a customer proxy for the development team during the development cycle of specific products
  11. Analysing new change needs, change requests, new requirements from third parties and customers/clients
  12. Translating requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
  13. Developing BRDs and other business requirements documentation
  14. Design and detail of user stories to a point where developers and technical teams can understand them
  15. Use development specifications to establish traceability from requirements to test cases
  16. Designing potential solutions to problems and opportunities
  17. Carrying out research and informing the design of the solution
  18. Preparing and delivering report of findings to senior stakeholders and leadership
  19. Managing risks, issues, with end-to-end impact assessment
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
  1. Previous experience as a Business Analyst with a background in transformation or modernisation of a portal, ideally from a Health Insurance company
  2. Understanding of insurance processes, ways of working, value chain
  3. Excellent written and oral communication
  4. Facilitation skills and able to plan and conduct workshops
  5. Good senior stakeholder management skills
  6. Self-starter, proactive, independently work and be responsible
  7. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban, Jira and confluence
  8. Ability to work in a team but also work independently when required
  9. Ability to quickly understand the Business processes and map them
  10. Excellent presentation skills/visual representations
