BUSINESS ANALYST - GENERAL / COMMERCIAL INSURANCE - DUA Schemes

Wipro is looking for a Business Analyst – General / Commercial Insurance. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on the DUA (Delegated Underwriting Authority) / Schemes – SMART replacement and workflow foundations.

Purpose of the Role: As the Business Analyst – General / Commercial Insurance, you will work on moving the SMART database (Lotus Notes) to a strategic solution (Salesforce) and starting the Workflow foundational work.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Gathering requirements and scope capture
2. Understanding and mapping of the insurance processes, ways of working, value chain
3. Collection of data about an organisation’s operations to improve its systems and processes
4. Process mapping as agreed with the client
5. Identifying problems and opportunities for change with the current business model
6. Options development and recommendations to company management
7. Analysing the potential impact on the business of recommendations
8. Providing support and enablement services to the business
9. Acting as a customer proxy for the development team
10. Translating requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
11. Developing BRDs and other business requirements documentation
12. Designing potential solutions to problems
13. Preparing and delivering report of findings to senior stakeholders
14. Managing risks, issues, with end-to-end impact assessment

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

1. Previous experience of working in the UK General Insurance or Commercial Insurance
2. Strong understanding of Commercial Insurance Schemes
3. Previous experience of implementing workflow solutions
4. Exposure to migrating databases to Salesforce
5. Excellent business analysis skills
6. Excellent written and oral communication
7. Good stakeholder management skills
8. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban
9. Ability to quickly understand the business processes
10. Excellent presentation skills
