Business Analyst – Gas & Power (Regulatory Reporting)

Contract: £750-900pd

Location: Central London

6 months rolling

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with proven experience in the Gas and Power sector to support key initiatives across trading, operations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., REMIT, EMIR, or similar) and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for gas and power trading and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory reporting standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate with front-office, compliance, IT, and external stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions.
  • Support testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of reporting tools and processes.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues impacting regulatory submissions.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst within the gas and power industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with energy trading systems and data reporting tools is a plus.
