Job Description:

The Role:

Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of implementing a new Housing Management System which is a key deliverable of our transformation programme supporting objectives outlined in our corporate plan.

The focus of the role at this stage of our programme is to support with testing, training, and embedding new ways of working aligned to the introduction of a new Housing Management System. Through interpreting business requirements captured to date, ensure that the design, build, and functionality meets that expected of end users and work in conjunction with the wider programme team to embed these changes successfully. There will be an element of capturing new requirements for follow on phases considering the impact on existing set up and prioritise these for future focus.

Development of test scripts, user guides, gaining business acceptance and identifying areas for future change will be the predominant day to day duties for this role. In order to achieve agreed objectives, the successful applicant will be required to build strong relations across the business and collaborate with the wider programme team understanding the programme objectives, milestones and expected outcomes.

The successful applicant will be required to interpret process design, understand and translate both business and systems requirements.

This role has a particular emphasis on testing and training and it is imperative that you can demonstrate this skill.

The team and Environment: Our Business Transformation and IT directorate consists of around 40 across project and technology roles, so there is plenty of opportunity for you to learn, grow and further your career with a progressive organisation with an important social purpose – to provide people with a home.

You will need to have/be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Computer Science or related study OR equivalent experience.
  • Highly proficient in business analysis using a range of techniques, to facilitate evidence-based decision making.
  • Testing and training expertise
  • Thorough knowledge of process and system design, implementation and operation as well as benefits management experience.
  • Experience of Lean and/or similar improvement techniques.
  • A track record in designing and implementing the automation of processes to achieve efficiencies, cost reductions and reduced risk.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to adopt varying styles to be able to explain complex information to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Proficient use of business analysis tools such as BPMS/SDLC and Microsoft tools such as Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong business change experience / business process change / business process reengineering / business process modelling / data modelling
