Qualifications

Business Analyst - Fixed term contract (6 months)

The Role:

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Business Analyst to join our Finance (Accounting) team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support process improvements, system optimizations, and data analysis within the accounting function. This temporary position is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge and analytical skills who can help streamline operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives in a regulated, fast-paced financial services environment.

How You Can Make a Difference:

  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team to analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Develop and implement process enhancements using Excel automation tools, including advanced formulas, macros, and VBA, or by leveraging existing platforms such as NetSuite.
  • Support finance system upgrades and enhancements (e.g., ERP integrations, automation tools), including participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) and preparation of related documentation.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute to the design and implementation of streamlined, scalable, and automated solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data flow across systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related analyst role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (preferably IFRS).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with large financial datasets.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite) and general ledger functionality.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is a must have.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in a regulated or financial services environment.
  • Exposure to automation tools, data analytics, or process improvement methodologies.
