Job description

About the Role:

You will provide system support for budget development, projections and forecast updates, month-end close activities, and administrative and project activities related to finance business processes and technology systems. You will report to the Senior Manager - Finance Technology. This role is remote-friendly.

You Will:

  1. Provide system support for budgeting and planning activities including uploading and extracting data, configuring the system to support reporting and troubleshooting errors with IT partners when errors occur. Make suggestions and recommendations for system optimizations and enhancements.
  2. Develop and distribute financial reports across multiple financial systems that address the needs of business owners.
  3. Maintain an in-depth understanding of our financial systems, ensuring they are optimised to meet our goals.
  4. Seek opportunities to enhance workflow, increase efficiency, and improve existing processes.
  5. Oversee the backlog of finance-related IT tickets, ensuring tracking, resolution, and optimization of all issues.
  6. Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the efficient progression of tickets and promptly address any technical challenges that arise.
  7. Help communication between partners, vendors, and the technology team to ensure seamless operation and integration of financial platforms.
  8. Identify continuous improvement opportunities in financial system processes and reporting tools to enhance overall operational efficiency.

You Have:

  1. 2+ years of experience in finance operations, with knowledge of core finance workflows, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices.
  2. 2+ years of experience supporting projects, including providing requirements, reviewing solutions, testing, documentation, and training.
  3. Experience with financial reporting tools, data analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
  4. Background in financial systems administration, such as ERP, EPM, and reporting tools.
  5. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
