Job description

Data Business Analyst - Liquidity (m/f/d)

Emagine Consulting London, United Kingdom

Our Finance Change delivery function within Liquidity Stress Testing is seeking a Business Analyst to support a multi-year programme focused on migrating existing capabilities from the current cloud solution to a new strategic cloud platform. This initiative aims to enhance internal liquidity reporting.

Emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm specializing in providing business and technology services to the financial services sector. We power progress, solve challenges, and deliver real results through tailored high-end consulting services and solutions.

We foster a culture of openness and integrity by building genuine relationships and partnerships, enabling us to be committed to delivering the best service for our clients. Our core values are: Confident, Dedicated, Responsible, Genuine. Applicants must have previous banking experience.

Role Overview

The team conducts a deep dive into the current state, identifies missing documents and information, interprets findings, and outlines a clear path to meet key milestones. The role involves working closely with technical teams while being embedded within the business function. The team reports into the analytics and architecture teams.

Additionally, a broader Treasury initiative consolidates smaller systems into a major platform. While related to broader group efforts, it has minimal overlap with this programme.

Liquidity is structured into two key areas:

  • Methodology
  • Insights & Analytics

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current processes, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to interpret findings and define solutions.
  • Support the Agile delivery process, working in sprints and engaging directly with IT developers.
  • Assist in ensuring alignment with internal liquidity reporting requirements.
  • Work across the full business analysis lifecycle, actively driving change beyond just documentation.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Liquidity knowledge and experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Superset — this is a must-have and a key focus.
