LA International seeks a Business Analyst with active DV clearance to engage with MOD stakeholders, end-users and Product Owners. You will translate complex requirements into user stories, manage backlogs and support SAFe/Agile delivery across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, mapping processes, modelling data and maintaining traceability documentation using Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps. Previous defence/Government experience is advantageous.

• Extensive Business Analyst or Business SME experience.
• Proven requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation experience.
• Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and managing Agile backlogs.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum and SAFe delivery environments.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.
• Strong process mapping, data modelling and requirements traceability skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and digital transformation.
• Experience supporting PI Planning, backlog refinement and Agile delivery ceremonies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex operational requirements into structured specifications.
• Experience with MOD, Defence or secure Government environments advantageous.
• Must meet applicable UK Government security, nationality and residency requirements.

Business Analyst Responsibilities

• Engage with MOD stakeholders, end-users and Product Owners to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate complex operational requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritised backlog items.
• Manage and refine product backlogs to support Agile Scrum and SAFe delivery.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder discussions and alignment sessions.
• Support SAFe PI Planning, identifying feature dependencies, enabler stories and business value.
• Develop process maps, data models and requirements traceability documentation.
• Analyse existing legacy processes and design improved future-state workflows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
• Identify gaps, dependencies and risks affecting business requirements and delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.

Business Analyst Skills and Experience

• Extensive of Business Analyst or Business SME experience.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• BCS Business Analysis or IIBA certification.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or equivalent Agile certification would be advantageous.
• Must meet applicable UK Government security, nationality and residency requirements and have the right to work in the UK.
