Business Analyst, Data Platform – Energy Trading | Pre-Trade System | Up to £110,000 + bonuses + benefits | Hybrid - 2 to 3 days | London

This role requires a Business Analyst with strong experience in data-centric platforms within an Energy Trading environment, focusing on an in-house Pre-Trade system utilizing Data Warehouse, Snowflake, and MongoDB. The system ingests, stores, and processes data from sources like Bloomberg to support non-technical traders in making informed decisions before executing trades.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee data ingestion from external providers, ensuring data accuracy.
2. Collaborate with data providers and team members.
3. Implement Data Governance practices for data integrity and security.
4. Manage data within Snowflake and MongoDB.
5. Demonstrate system functionality to stakeholders, highlighting how data supports Pre-Trade analysis.
6. Work closely with non-technical traders to understand their data needs.
7. Generate reports and dashboards using PowerBI to provide insights and analyze data trends.

Requirements

• Commercial experience with Data Warehouse, Snowflake, MongoDB, and PowerBI.
• Understanding of Energy Trading markets and front-office environments.
• Experience setting up new products and gathering stakeholder requirements.
• Knowledge of Data Governance practices.
