It’s important to us that we recruit and develop as diverse a range of talent as we can and we believe that everyone brings something different to the table – so we’d love to know what makes you different. Such differences may mean we need to make changes to our process to allow you the best possible platform to succeed, and we are happy to cater to any reasonable adjustments you may require.

Location: London

Capco is looking for experienced professionals to join our Insurance practice, specifically within the Commercial and Specialty space. This is an opportunity to work with leading insurers on complex transformation programmes that are reshaping the future of the insurance industry.

You will partner with clients to address the industry’s most pressing challenges — from digitising underwriting journeys to responding to ESG demands, integrating post-M&A systems and transforming legacy claims operations. Whether you are placed as a Project Manager or Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering impactful change.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Gather, document and prioritise business and functional requirements from stakeholders across commercial and specialty insurance operations.
  2. Conduct current state assessments and gap analyses for underwriting, claims and policy admin functions.
  3. Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications and process flows.
  4. Support the design of target operating models, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and customer outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with development and test teams during system implementation and UAT phases.
  6. Contribute to digital and data transformation initiatives through requirements elicitation and stakeholder workshops.
Skills & Experience Required:
  1. Experience working in or with the London Market.
  2. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance lines (e.g. Property, Liability, Marine, Energy, Specialty).
  3. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  4. Understanding of core insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Sequel or bespoke legacy systems.
  5. Proven track record delivering technology-enabled or business-led transformation in insurance.
  6. Familiarity with regulatory change initiatives (e.g. IFRS17, Solvency II, Consumer Duty).
  7. Experience using process mapping and documentation tools such as Visio, Lucidchart or ARIS.
  8. Ability to facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit requirements from SMEs and business stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Previous consulting or client-facing experience in a delivery capacity.
  2. Exposure to agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe or hybrid delivery models.
  3. Relevant certifications: PRINCE2, PMP, BCS Business Analysis, Agile/Scrum or equivalent.
  4. Experience supporting ESG, sustainability or post-merger integration programmes.
