Job description

Summary
As a Business Analyst Apprentice, you'll support CI project delivery, working with managers and stakeholders to learn about business processes, data analysis, and optimisation. This role offers hands-on experience and professional growth for a future in Business Analysis, Project Management, or CI.

What you'll do at work

  1. Business Analysis:
    Support in gathering, documenting, and analysing business requirements from stakeholders.
  2. Assist in the creation of functional specifications and process maps.
  3. Analyse business processes and provide insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Conduct research and prepare reports on market trends, competitor analysis, and industry best practices.
  5. Participate in stakeholder meetings, taking notes and following up on action items.
  6. Help with data collection and data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  7. Support the Business Analyst team in preparing presentations and reports for senior management.
  8. Assist in the testing of new software or systems to ensure they meet business requirements.
  9. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  1. Project Support:
    Assist in the planning, tracking, and monitoring of project activities.
  2. Update and maintain project documentation, schedules, and reports.
  1. Governance and Reporting:
    Ensure project compliance with governance frameworks and company policies.
  2. Prepare status reports, dashboards, and other project-related documentation.
  3. Assist in the analysis of project performance data to identify trends and recommend actions.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  2. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  3. Schedule and coordinate meetings, capturing minutes and action points.
  1. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
    Support the identification and execution of process improvement projects as per CI methodologies.
  2. Assist in analysing existing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements.
  3. Participate in workshops or brainstorming sessions aimed at driving operational excellence.
  1. Tools and Systems:
    Use Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement and Project Management tools and software to manage workflows and data.
  2. Support the maintenance and improvement of wider Business Improvement unit templates and processes.
  1. Learning and Development:
    Participate in training sessions and complete coursework related to the apprenticeship program.
  2. Develop knowledge of Business Analysis, Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2 and continuous Improvement standards such as Lean Six Sigma.
