About the vacancy

To support our continued growth, we are expanding our Business Analytics capabilities. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on forecasting, capacity planning, and performance analysis. This is an entry-level position with potential to grow into a more senior analytical or S&OP role within two to three years. Based at Wakefield or Corby in the UK, you will be part of a multifunctional team and gain exposure to various aspects of our operations.

Salary: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00

Location: Wakefield (WF3 4FE) or Corby (NN17 5XN)

What Will You Do?

  • Model scenarios for operational planning and customer-specific projects.
  • Gather and model data for customer initiatives, tenders, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct warehousing and transport analysis.
  • Analyse monthly customer forecasts to support operational planning and resource allocation—monitoring trends, seasonal peaks, and year-to-date performance metrics.
  • Analyse inbound and outbound volumes/profiles to support logistics and warehouse optimisation and capacity planning.
  • Standardise and improve spreadsheet tools used across departments to enhance data consistency and usability.
  • Integrate data into Power BI dashboards for real-time reporting and executive insights.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal stakeholders and monthly customer meetings.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Mine, collate, and structure large datasets to support reporting and performance tracking.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with data modelling and reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Curious, innovative, and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability; communicates with integrity and clarity.
  • Action-oriented and results-driven, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
