Job description

Skilltech Solutions, part of the Lifetime Group, is an EdTech provider with a flagship product focused on streamlining the end-point assessment process.

What will you be doing?

• Facilitate Agile and rapid releases of functionality benefitting the business.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities with appropriate planning and communication.
• Help shape and guide business thinking by constructively challenging assumptions and contributing insights.
• Work autonomously or collaboratively, with support as needed, to lead on concept development and implementation.
• Inform and maintain the product roadmap.
• Support Business Case development to inform decision making on project startup.

Business Analysis & Requirements Capture:

• Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level info into details, and identify root cause business problems.
• Communicate and collaborate proactively with stakeholders to analyze needs and requirements, delivering documentation such as User Stories, Requirements Documents, and Interface designs.
• Evaluate, define, and prioritize high-level business requirements.
• Facilitate requirements definition and gain agreement, analyze change requests, and seek approval.
• Refine business requirements with clients.
• Produce requirements suitable for Agile teams, like user stories or Business Requirements Specs.
• Ensure full business engagement in the Agile development process.
• Support Testing and User Acceptance Testing.

Business Process:

• Lead analysis projects for process improvement or feasibility studies.
• Identify needs for new or amended business processes.
• Identify changes needed in organization structures, roles, skills, and staffing.
• Implement actions to ensure successful change adoption, like training and communication.

What will you bring to the role?

• Strong Business Analyst experience on Agile projects.
• Experience writing user stories, refining backlogs, and participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Business-oriented with a technical background.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with Agile project management tools and roadmaps.
• Experience working closely with software teams.
• Technical knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Proven scope definition and requirements management skills.
• Use of business analysis tools and techniques.
• Aptitude for leading requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Experience ensuring change initiatives 'stick'.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

It would be great if you had:

• Experience in strategic change projects within training organizations.
• Knowledge of government-funded apprenticeships or end-point assessment.
• Formal qualifications or equivalent experience in IT or business analysis.
• Professional qualifications like ISEB, CCBA, CBAP, APM, MSP.
• Agile training.
