At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Business Analyst at our Hinkley Point C site and play your part in a major national project.

This opportunity involves working with the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, focusing on integrating and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (MEH) systems, cabling, and support services. The aim is to enable different contractors to work as a single entity for complex installations within the power station.

The role

As a Business Analyst, you’ll support the Senior Business Architect Lead in shaping and delivering key Business Architecture initiatives within the MEH Programme. You will work closely with senior managers, applying business analysis skills to design solutions that improve operational effectiveness. You’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle—managing requirements, validating solutions, and ensuring successful adoption. This hands-on role requires analytical expertise and strategic thinking to contribute to a nationally significant programme.

  • Partner with senior managers and stakeholders to shape project concepts, define objectives, and assess risks and dependencies.
  • Capture, evaluate, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Collaborate with third-party partners to identify efficient, user-friendly solutions.
  • Develop business cases and mandates, analyzing benefits and challenging assumptions.
  • Oversee delivery, ensuring requirements are met and promoting continuous improvement and EDI principles.

This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working: 2 days on-site and 3 days remote.

Essential experience

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Business Architecture disciplines such as process management, analysis, data, or IT systems.
  • Expertise in business process analysis, modelling techniques, and collaborative tools.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in developing business cases for large-scale change, supported by financial modelling.

Qualifications

  • We value diverse backgrounds; experience and willingness to learn are key.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must hold a valid UK passport and be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance. Further details are available at UK Security Vetting.
