Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst - RPA to join our Group Technology team in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will identify, analyze, and document business processes suitable for automation to support various business units. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders across departments and the RPA development and software engineering teams, you will ensure that automation solutions meet user needs, align with our business objectives, and are clearly defined for development.

The Technology Team is accountable for all technology and systems across the group, including a number of internally built applications as well as supplier provided solutions.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement with two days per week in our MK office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various business units to identify and assess processes suitable for automation using RPA and other technologies.
  • Gather detailed requirements for automation projects, understand underlying business needs, and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications and user stories.
  • Own the analysis and documentation of business processes ('As-Is' and 'To-Be'), identifying areas for improvement and optimisation through automation.
  • Create and maintain essential RPA documentation, potentially including Process Design Documents (PDDs) and contributing to Solution Design Documents (SDDs).
  • Support the product backlog grooming for automation initiatives, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritised, and aligned with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with RPA Developers and Software Engineers, participate actively in sprint planning sessions and daily stand-up meetings, provide ongoing clarification on requirements, and help resolve issues encountered during development.
  • Play a key role in coordinating and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for developed automations, including defining test scenarios, supporting end-users, and validating outcomes against requirements.
  • Actively participate in and support agile ceremonies such as sprint reviews, retrospectives, and demonstrations within the automation team.
  • Serve as a crucial liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and technical resources (including RPA developers) ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Preferably educated to graduate level with a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with RPA technologies and methodologies is essential; specific experience with Blue Prism is highly desirable
  • Experience in the Property Industry would be desirable but is not essential.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product management practices
  • Knowledge of agile planning tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
