Job summary

Correla is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in the UK. The role involves eliciting and documenting business problems, translating needs into actionable user stories, and collaborating with Product, Engineering and QA to drive value from our SaaS products.

You will work with stakeholders to refine requirements, support backlog prioritisation, and use data to guide decisions, contributing to product strategy and ownership as you grow in the role.

Qualifications

  • Proven Business Analysis experience in software, SaaS or digital product environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of modern software development practices and Agile/product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Independently elicit, analyse and document business and customer problems, needs, constraints and outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discussions to explore problems and identify solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and QA throughout delivery and clarify requirements as needed.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation, breaking work into incremental pieces.
  • Use data and customer feedback to support decision-making and validate delivered outcomes.
  • Develop understanding of product strategy and progressively take ownership of product activities.

Salary: circa £53,000 (advertised salary achievable for a candidate fulfilling all role criteria)

About the Role:
  • Independently elicit, analyse and document business and customer problems, needs, constraints and desired outcomes, working with the (Technical) Product Manager and Product Owners and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and delivery teams to explore problems, challenge assumptions and help identify appropriate solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear, well-defined and deliverable requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering and QA throughout delivery, refining and clarifying requirements as understanding develops.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation, helping to break larger requirements into smaller, manageable pieces of work that can deliver value incrementally.
  • Use data, customer insight and feedback to support decision-making and assess whether delivered solutions are meeting the intended need.
  • Develop an understanding of product strategy, priorities and Product Ownership, progressively taking greater ownership of product activities.
About You
  • Proven Business Analysis experience within a software, SaaS or digital product environment, with strong requirements elicitation, analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern software development practices and Agile/product delivery environments.
  • Ability to translate complex needs into clear, structured and deliverable requirements or user stories.
  • Curious and comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and exploring different approaches.
  • Good customer and commercial awareness, with an interest in understanding the value and outcomes a product needs to deliver.
  • Able to work independently as the analysis specialist while collaborating effectively and influencing across Product, Engineering, QA and other stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Experience with the challenges associated with complex, regulated or API-first products.
