Business Analyst (Contract – Inside IR35)

Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week in Leeds

Contract Length: 3 to 6 months initially

Day Rate: Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35)

Sector: UK Government / Public Sector

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join a key project within the UK Government sector. This is a hybrid contract role, requiring 2-3 days on-site in Leeds per week. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping business requirements, leading workshops, and supporting Agile delivery teams to ensure the success of digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements in alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead workshops with diverse stakeholders, including technical, business, and government representatives.
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and support sprint planning.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear understanding and agreement of business needs.
  • Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support change management and communication plans throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in UK Government / Public Sector projects.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Demonstrable expertise in planning, facilitating, and leading workshops with mixed stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively in a hybrid working environment.
