We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Analyst to lead business analysis efforts for a product. This role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, managing a team of junior analysts, and driving data-driven decisions to support the organization's objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, and a deep understanding of business processes and technologies. Many of our project are centred around UCD (User Centred Design) so experience of working in these environments is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the business analysis team in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to identify business needs and develop effective solutions.
- Work closely with design and development teams to ensure designs align with user-centered design principles.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather insights and feedback from users and stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies by analyzing current processes and recommending enhancements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Assist in the creation of test plans and oversee the execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business needs.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing support and direction in their professional development.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that could impact the organization.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Provide ongoing support and analysis to optimize project outcomes and user satisfaction.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, with a focus on mid-management responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Business Analysis, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with UCD methodologies and tools
- Industry certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.
