Business Analyst – Doncaster – 6 Months (Fixed-Term Contract) - £50,000FTC

Leading Rail Transportation Client now requires an experienced Business Analyst to take the lead the analysis on their projects to take high-level deliverables and feature sets from the business and define, organize, and prioritize them into user stories

You’ll play a key role in driving the success of their IT projects, working closely with business users, development teams, and stakeholders to gather, document, and refine requirements, ensuring that solutions align with business needs.

The Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
  • Convert high-level business needs into user stories, workflows, and use cases.
  • Manage the requirements backlog and collaborate with teams to prioritize and refine stories.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that the delivered solutions meet the required business outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops, create mock-ups, and produce clear, structured documentation.

The ideal Business Analyst will have the following skills/experience:

  • Proven Track Record working as a Business Analyst, ideally on software projects
  • Extensive Experience in Process Improvement, Automation, and Optimization
  • Proficient in Visio, MS Office, and Agile Methodologies
  • Ideally, previously worked within Rail Transportation (Desirable, not essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

This is a six-month fixed-term contract paying up to £50,000pa and would require you to be onsite three days per week.
