Business Analyst
Hybrid - Swindon or London
Up to £65,000 + Bonus

Role Objectives

In a fast-moving environment, key objectives include:

• Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transaction Monitoring, Fraud, and Screening Business Analyst.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and Business stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure they are well captured.
• Performing Compliance (Screening & Monitoring) GAP analysis and understanding impacts on systems and business.
• Supporting analysis, documentation, and implementation of requirements for development and QA teams.
• Supporting training and communication of solutions.
• Ensuring payment regulatory compliance and internal risk controls are incorporated into requirements.

• Improving compliance requirements clarity and prioritization.
• Supporting migration to micro-service & cloud architecture.
• Considering non-functional aspects like robustness, security, scalability.
• Defining key metrics with the product manager.
• Driving continuous product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing compliance framework focusing on screening and monitoring.
• Collaborating with SMEs, Product Managers, and stakeholders to analyze features, fixes, and operational improvements.
• Prioritizing workstreams with Product Managers.
• Documenting internal/external requirements clearly.
• Proposing solutions adhering to regulations.
• Evaluating solutions to meet business needs.
• Assessing impacts of changes on systems and stakeholders.
• Using structured analysis techniques.
• Facilitating workshops and walkthroughs.
• Refining user stories and collaborating on test scripts.
• Producing documentation and collaborating with development teams.
• Building stakeholder relationships across the organization.

Skills & Behaviors

• Extensive experience in compliance for payments/banking/financial services.
• Transaction monitoring experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of AML, KYC, Fraud regulations.
• Familiarity with payment systems and technologies.
