A well-established client in Cardiff is seeking a Contract Business Analyst to support government-facing projects. The successful candidate will facilitate communication between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring that digital services align with business needs throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract Business Analyst
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site)
Rate: £325 p/day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 3 months initially
The Company
A well-established client of ours in Cardiff, delivering tailored solutions across both private and public sectors. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they're looking for a Contract Business Analyst to support delivery on several government-facing projects.
The Role
You’ll be the link between stakeholders and delivery teams – shaping digital services that meet user needs and business objectives. You’ll be hands-on throughout the full project lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
Key Duties:
Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements
Run workshops and stakeholder interviews
Create user stories, process maps, use cases and acceptance criteria
Identify areas for process improvement and support change initiatives
Work closely with delivery teams to ensure alignment throughout the project
Support testing phases, including UAT and QA
What You'll Need:
Strong experience as a Business Analyst on software/digital projects
Background working with public sector or government clients
Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
Hands-on Agile delivery experience (Scrum or Kanban)
Comfortable using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar
Analytical with clear documentation and reporting skills
Nice to Have:
Involvement in discovery, alpha, or beta phases
Familiarity with wireframing tools or working alongside UX/UI teams
Other Info:
You’ll need to be commutable to Cardiff and available to be on-site 2–3 days a week.
