Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Analyst to join our team and lead the analysis and delivery of complex business and technology initiatives. This role requires a proactive, commercially aware individual who can operate confidently across business domains, engage senior stakeholders, and drive value through insight, innovation, and collaboration.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping solutions, influencing decision-making, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technology capabilities. You will lead discovery, define requirements, and support delivery across multiple workstreams, while mentoring junior analysts and contributing to continuous improvement of BA practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end business analysis across strategic programmes and high-impact projects
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to elicit, challenge, and refine business requirements
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories, functional specs, and process models
  • Drive process reengineering and optimisation initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Delivery Managers to shape solutions and prioritise backlogs
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions through data-driven insights and structured analysis
  • Own and manage traceability of requirements through development, testing, and implementation
  • Support change management and business readiness activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new solutions
  • Champion best practices in business analysis, mentoring junior BAs and contributing to capability development
Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects in Agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments
  • Strong understanding of business architecture, process modelling (e.g. BPMN), and requirements engineering
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
  • IIBA or BCS certification (ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis) preferred
  • Degree in Business, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including C-suite interaction
  • Advanced facilitation and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and align diverse viewpoints
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic mindset
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and Google suite
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex settings
