Role Overview:

The role involves evaluating internal and external software requirements within a business domain or model and creating optimal solutions that meet these needs, while involving all stakeholders throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project initiation – understand the problem or business requirement, create visualizations to determine project viability, and involve stakeholders for comprehensive understanding.
  2. Conduct customer visits to understand their problems and product use cases, ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs.
  3. Demonstrate prototypes and products to ensure accurate solutions and specifications, with a focus on user engagement through UI.
  4. Understand and learn the principles and terminologies of new business domains.
  5. Evaluate business needs and ensure project teams understand all details.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to include their concerns and requirements in the specification documents.
  7. Prepare project charters to support management investment decisions.
  8. Support engineers post-requirements specification, clarify requirements, and facilitate stakeholder negotiations.
  9. Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing among project members and clients.
  10. Research business needs, including competitor analysis and SME consultations, to inform requirements.
  11. Organize elicited requirements into formal documents for stakeholder review, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  12. Assist engineers in understanding specifications and facilitate stakeholder questions for clarity.
  13. May be involved in testing phases and support user training, change management, and post-launch support.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with DevOps and Microsoft Visio.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Operations Analysis roles.
  • Experience with business systems and process design.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with all stakeholder levels.
  • Business Systems analysis certifications are advantageous.
