Your new role
Purpose of the role and key responsibilities:
• Support the team in all aspects of managing a client portfolio, ensuring all deadlines and demands are met
• Take ownership of client portfolios, including year-end and management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for selected clients
• Manage and develop client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Oversee the delivery of client accounting work from start to finish, on budget, coordinating with other departments to meet deadlines
• Perform technical work, oversee finalization of accounts, produce reports, and address client queries promptly
• Deliver specialist advisory and project work to high technical standards, providing clear recommendations
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge, researching new legislation and advising clients accordingly
• Participate in tenders and proposals for new work
• Demonstrate knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards, especially FRS 102 1A

What you'll need to succeed
Required experience and skills:
• Relevant professional qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero
• Experience managing a client portfolio
• Ability to train junior team members
• Technical compliance and advisory experience
• Experience with technology, cloud accounting, and client solutions
