Job Title: Business AdvisorLocation: NorthamptonSalary: Competitive, based on experience and qualificationsHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Job Purpose

To deliver a professional and efficient accountancy service to clients, in line with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Client Services

  • Planning assignments for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities
  • Preparing final accounts for a range of entities including sole traders, partnerships, companies, and charities
  • Liaising with clients to discuss and approve draft accounts
  • Managing audit processes from planning (by others) through to completion
  • Completing personal and partnership tax returns, as well as corporation tax returns (CT600s)
  • Handling written and telephone correspondence with clients, HMRC, and other relevant parties
  • Reviewing confirmation statements and other statutory documentation
  • Preparing management accounts

Financial Performance

  • Monitoring personal performance against job budgets and reporting any issues

Client Relations

  • Maintaining effective communication and working relationships with client personnel to gather necessary information

Practice Development

  • Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services to client organisations

General Duties

  • Carrying out any other reasonable tasks as required
