Job description

Primary role:

As Business Administrator Apprentice you will support our Contract Manager in day-to-day running of Havering Depot, and provide administrative support to the wider organisation, including the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing general administration support to the contract Manager and wider teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Engage, support, and interact with internal and external clients.
  • Compiling, maintaining, and updating records on various systems.
  • Undertake administrative tasks using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assist in budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting activities.
  • Monitor stationary supplies, refreshments, and IT consumables.
  • Liaising with couriers and suppliers.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Job Details:

  • Monday – Friday 40 hours
  • £6.40 per hour
  • Location: RM12 5BF

Things to consider:

The apprenticeship program and employment are inclusive of each other. You will need to demonstrate excellent levels of commitment to both the training and job role. You will work at FCC environment contract 80% of the time, and study in further education 20% of the time.

The duties and responsibilities highlighted are indicative and may vary over time. The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post and the grade that has been established on this basis.

What Apprenticeship Training will you Receive?

The successful applicant will complete and obtain a Level 3 Business Administration Qualification through Learning Curve Group.

You will be taught through:

  • 4-6 Weekly 1-2-1 Sessions with your tutor
  • 6 weekly hours of Off The Job Training
  • The course is a 14 month long programme

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: From £6.40 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
