Job description

We are looking for an immediately available Business Support candidate who ideally has some experience in Facilities or Health and Safety. Failing that, you must be a strong, organised administrator with superb customer service skills, as this role will be dealing with contractors and visitors to the building on a daily basis.
Your role will be to provide customer-focussed administrative support across finance, commercial and facilities teams, and an efficient and effective service to both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Vacancy Information

Temporary job opportunity for 4-12 weeks - this job could become a fixed contract for 9-12 months (subject to the discretion of the business and performance of the candidate).
Salary guide: £25,900.
Immediate start in April 2025. (Successful applicants must be available to start temporary work and not be on notice).
Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Sheffield city centre location.
100% office based.


Duties:
  1. Business administration and facilities administration tasks.
  2. Reception cover where required.
  3. Working with the landlord to ensure the premises comply with safety and health regulations.
  4. Managing relationships with external contractors for essential services such as cleaning, general maintenance and repairs.
  5. Keeping supplies well stocked, updating SOPs and policies and procedures so they are relevant and up to date.
  6. Preparing written responses to enquiries, processing incoming and outgoing post.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
  1. Previous experience in a similar role would be great, but as mentioned above, a strong administrator would be welcome to apply.
  2. Good written, verbal and IT skills are essential.
  3. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work face to face with visitors to the building.
  4. Ideally, previous experience of facilities administration/coordination would be advantageous.
  5. Flexible 37-hour week, this role will be 100% office-based.
  6. Temporary.
  7. Immediate start in Sheffield - the successful applicant must be able to start work quickly.
