Job summary

Connect Legal Partners is seeking a compliance professional to carry out KYC and conflict checks on new clients and matters. You will collect and review ID documents, research clients on corporate databases, run sanctions and PEP checks, and assess sources of funds.

Experience in a law firm or risk/compliance team is preferred, with strong document review, writing clarity and the ability to prioritise under pressure in a flexible, hybrid work setup.

A national full service law firm with offices across the UK. The business services teams support lawyers across a wide range of practice areas.

The role

You will carry out KYC and conflict checks as new clients and matters come on board. That covers collecting and reviewing ID documents across different risk levels, researching clients on Companies House and corporate databases, running sanctions, PEP and adverse media checks, and reviewing source of funds and wealth. You will review risk assessments and conflict results on the firm's system and write up clear KYC and conflicts summaries.

What you will need

Experience in a law firm or risk and compliance team is preferred, but full training is given. Good document review skills, attention to detail, clear writing, and the ability to prioritise under pressure and work both in a team and alone.
